Update!!! Fifth metatarsal is snapped and displaced. Every orthopedist in Denver is on vacation. The nurse says, “Well, at least it’s not your driving foot!” Hmph. Maybe not yours, some of us need two feet.
This lady raced me down the stairs this morning, and oh did I lose. Landed in a crumpled heap of laptop and work stuff. Pretty sure my left foot is broken - driving is excruciating. I’m sitting at urgent care right now waiting for X-rays. I guess I’ll take the company car for a couple days until we see what’s going on.

She was completely unconcerned. Stepped over me while I was crying at the foot of the stairs and scratched at the door to go out.

Most cats scatter when you walk towards them. Not Vader. He’s like: “no, it’s cool.” If it’s dark, it’s easy to trip over him.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and threw my little brother into a wall when we were wrestling. Left a perfect butt indention. He told my mom he tripped over the dog and fell into the wall. It was 20 years before we finally fessed up. Hope your foot is just sprained and not broken!

When I was in high school and college I was in a drum corps. The drum bus had bus wars (front of bus vs back) and every year we broke a window. The excuses for how the window broke got less and less plausible as time went by, although the least plausible one was actually true (naked guy jumped on someone, whose head hit window).
It's totally broken.

Just a bit. I'm getting cranky now and I want to go home from work. Thank goodness this is a short week. Too bad the dog isn't smart enough to fetch things for me.

My girlfriend has two cats. They raced her down the stairs. She fell ass over tea kettle and tore up her knee really bad. She probably will always walk with a limp for the rest of her life. I didn’t like her cats before, really not a fan of them now.
